Things to know:
Lunch
Please have your child bring a packed lunch, snack and water bottle daily. We do offer a tuck shop at camp, where children can purchase inexpensive candy and snacks. If you would like your child to participate in the tuck shop, we recommend a maximum of $1.00. day.
Allergies
Many children attending Camp St.A’s have specific allergies; some can be life-threatening. We take these allergies seriously and do all we can to reduce the risk of exposure. For example, we ask campers not to bring snacks or food from home that may contain nuts. All campers who carry an EpiPen are invited to always have it with them. In addition, they will be asked to wear a specific wristband that alerts our staff to their health concerns.
Schedule
There will be days when your child will need their bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, etc.; please check the schedule to know when they are swimming or around water. There will be places for your child to leave their lunch and belongings at the church.
Drop off and pick up.
Please drop your child off inside the church and sign in every morning. Please allow a few extra minutes on Monday for sign-in and registration.
Things to leave at home
Please leave all electronic devices (including cell phones), toys, valuables, nice clothes, and other expensive or potentially harmful items at home.
Swimming.
When we go swimming at Wedgewood outdoor pool, all kids must take a swimming test to enter the deep end. Life jackets are also provided, and many staff are always hands-on in the water with the kids.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel before the end of the day, two weeks before the start of camp, you will get a full refund, less a $30/week administration fee. If you cancel less than two weeks before the start of camp, you will receive NO REFUND. There is an exception for medical reasons. In that case, you will get a full refund, less the $30/week administration fee. No refund will be made for dismissals due to disciplinary action, late arrivals or early departures. Hello, St. Andrews campers and parents!
“Hello, campers and parents! My name is Keira, and I’m honoured to be the director of this year’s camp, St. A! This will be my third summer working at St. Andrew’s, and I’m looking forward to another fantastic summer! A bit about me: I’m in my third year of studying Neuroscience at UofT and am interested in early childhood neural development. I love working with children; my mom runs a daycare, and I have four younger siblings. I’m also a huge theatre nerd. I can’t wait to meet you all soon! “
