The writer Isaac Asimov once said that “Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.” Luke 24 tells us what happened when the risen Jesus challenged the assumptions of his first followers by opening their minds and preparing them for the road ahead.
